About

Welcome to Room For Thought.

I am Rachel, a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents and adults through a broad range of emotional, behavioural and psychological challenges.

After many years working across private practice and mental health settings, I created Room For Thought as a space where people can feel understood, supported and empowered to create meaningful change.

My approach is warm, evidence-based and tailored to each individual. I understand that seeking support can feel daunting, and I aim to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, heard and genuinely understood.

I have experience working with concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, school refusal, obsessive-compulsive disorder, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, neurodiversity, personality vulnerabilities, stress and life transitions.

I am highly experienced in psychological assessment and formulation and am a Board Approved Supervisor, supporting psychologists in their professional development and clinical practice.

My work is grounded in a client-centred, flexible and compassionate approach. I believe therapy should feel collaborative and practical, supporting people not only through difficult periods, but also in building insight, confidence, resilience and lasting change.
